TYPES OF FLAT ROOFS OFFERED

We offer several types of flat roof installations. They include:

EPDM RUBBER ROOFS

EPDM is an extremely durable synthetic rubber roofing membrane (ethylene propylene diene terpolymer) widely used in low-slope buildings. Its two primary ingredients, ethylene and propylene, are derived from oil and natural gas. EPDM can be installed either fully adhered, mechanically attached or ballasted, with the seams of the roofing system sealed with liquid adhesives or specially formulated tape. Due to its relatively simple installation process, EPDM roofing is a cost-effective solution to your roofing needs.

SBS TORCH ON ROOFS

Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene (SBS) describes a family of synthetic rubber derived from styrene and butadiene. SBS is a thermoplastic elastomer that has excellent abrasion resistance and aging stability when blended with bitumen, making it the perfect bitumen modifier to achieve cold flexibility and elastic properties. This material has the ability to retain its shape after being stretched and, therefore, is widely used in modified bitumen roofing, coatings, sealants and paving, amongst other applications. Considered the “Rolls-Royce” of flat roofing, this system is the best solution for longevity and leak resistance.

TPO ROOFS

TPO stands for Thermoplastic Polyolefin; it's made primarily from recycled rubber and sold in rolls that are held together by heat-welded seams. This method of installation is labour-intensive and requires a great deal of skill to achieve a successful installation. However, when done right, TPO is an extremely durable single-ply roof system.

TAR AND GRAVEL (REPAIR AND REMOVAL)

In the past, a tar and gravel roofing system, also known as built-up roofing, typically consisted of tar paper. Today’s systems are made up of alternating layers of bitumen-reinforced advanced materials that include fibreglass roof membranes. Licensed Rhino Roofing Ltd. roofing specialists utilize updated roofing technology for residential or commercial roof installation and also provide skilled tar and gravel roof maintenance and repair.

PVC ROOFS

Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) single-ply roofing membranes are among the most popular commercial roofing products available today. They are remarkably durable and highly resistant to some of the toughest flat-roof aggressors like fire, chemicals, and hurricane-level winds. These roofs will typically last over 20 years due to their ability to handle a fair amount of weight.
